Hi @Peter Wehrle, I'm online - somehow had some troubles with the timezones...

Michael Richardson - 2024-05-22 11:23:02
ZigbeeIP is IPv6. It's "Thread"

Maarten Botterman - 2024-05-22 11:25:46

Maarten Botterman - 2024-05-22 11:26:05

Maarten Botterman - 2024-05-22 11:27:35

Labeling (and certification) of IoT devices (and services) are seen as key in recent IoT governance discussions at the IGF (DC IoT). This is to empower "users" to know what they deal with. (of course coupled to MUD etc)

Peter Steinhaeuser - 2024-05-22 12:19:07
@Maarten, your Q&A Quesiton is related to NIS2, right?

Peter Steinhaeuser - 2024-05-22 12:19:32
Or was it to the general trends?

Andrey Kolesnikov - 2024-05-22 12:26:39
good and compressed trends report. thanks a lot! hard part is take the whole automation world and compress it into 20 min pitch )

Michael Richardson - 2024-05-22 12:29:11
A problem that we have is that "IoT" is way too broad a term. The HOME/MATTER/CSA stuff that we often care about, is not the (Industrial)IoT that much of the marketing money is chasing. IIoT is most often a single vertical, often with significant on-site operational expertise. The CSA storey is also not the current "residential" IoT, which will primarily be landfilled within two years because they don't do Thread or have updates or comply to security.

Michael Richardson - 2024-05-22 12:30:21
too soon to even think about a BCoP on Matter.
